The mission of Vitae Foundation is to encourage a culture of life through research-based messaging. We've already seen our research-backed Pro-Woman Approach cause a paradigm shift in the Pro-Life Movement. Our research taught us that women who consider abortion do not see the issue in the same way as pro-life people, and the Pro-Life Movement had to change the way we communicated. We could no longer reach them by using facts, figures, and statistics. Our research taught us that to reach them, we needed to talk to her about her. We needed to address her fears and concerns first, before talking about the baby. This realization absolutely changed Pro-Life marketing forever.
For a long time, men's voices have been silent in the abortion debate. Much of this is because the abortion industry has intentionally told them they have no voice in this issue. It has become the norm for many to say the all-too-common phrase, "I'll support you, no matter what you choose." But, from our research with women, we've determined women share the news of the pregnancy with men to see how they will respond. To see if they will be there to address their fears and concerns. When men give the canned response above, women feel alone. This year, we have begun a study on a new demographic we've never studied before, men! We are setting out to find out why they feel they have no voice in abortion conversations and will learn what we can do to empower them to speak up for life. The findings of this study could, again, cause a paradigm shift in the Pro-Life Movement.
Vitae Foundation is a non-profit, so every dollar donated helps us continue to conduct research and put it into the hands of key influencers across the world such as pregnancy centers, politicians, medical professionals, pastors, counselors, attorneys, and the media. We share this research for free with all of these groups using vitaevault.org (for pregnancy centers) and vitaeresearchinstitute.org (all other demographics).
